The Saint Paul Civic Symphony was established in 1945.

We are a completely autonomous, non-profit organization comprised of volunteers from many diverse professional backgrounds. We are funded by membership dues, donations, grants, and various fundraising events.

Our Objectives

To provide the greater Saint Paul community with free concerts featuring a wide range of symphonic literature.

To provide an opportunity for musicians to perform in a high-quality symphony.

To provide children with imaginative, interactive performances with the goal of instilling in them a love of music.

History Together

To Deepen Ties

with our Sister Orchestra
the Nagasaki Symphony Orchestra, and to nurture cultural exchange between Saint Paul and Nagasaki.

Our Mission
The Saint Paul Civic Symphony has a commitment to provide audiences as well as orchestra members with concert programs which move beyond the standard classical repertoire. This is accomplished through collaboration with other performing arts organizations, commissioning of new works, solo performances by emerging young artists, and the regular inclusion of 20th century music in our programming.
